Christmas 1894  I.

(My heart felt bitter sweet as I transcribed this page of the journal.  I could see a teacher that cared so much for the orphans that she organized a Christmas morning club of donors so that the orphans might have a gift to open on Christmas morning. On page 88 you see the names of donors. Everything inside parenthesis are my own added comments)

(I think from this date and the others that follow, this is the first Christmas for the teacher at the Asylum.   This appears to be a Christmas list of gifts and the amounts spent,  My guess is it was for the orphans in the Asylum.  The orphan's name is in the first column,  the gift, and then the amount of money spent on the present.  Note the amounts are all cents)
