Page 20.--In the name of God, Amen. I, WILLIAM EYRE, Esq., Lieut.-Col. to the 44th Regiment, being of sound mind. I direct all debts to be paid, "and my Body to be privately buried." I leave to Captain Daniel Blake, in the East India Company's service, œ300 stirling. To Ensign Samuel Blake, of the 79th Regiment, œ2,000 stirling. To Ensign William Todd Blake, of the 27th Regiment, œ2,000 stirling. "They all being sons of William Blake." "Upon this condition, that they are severally to take my name. I mean that they are to have Eyre for their Sir Name." If either does not comply with this, his share is to go to the rest. I leave to Mrs. Frances Swallow and Mrs. Anne Patterson (the daughters of said Henry Blake), to the former œ300 and to the latter œ200 stirling. To Eyre Jones, son of Dr. Conway Jones, œ200. To Eyre Adlam, son of Henry Adlam, œ100. To Alderman Taylor, of Dublin, œ100, in trust for the use of Mrs. Frances Boyce, wife of Mr. Philip Cummins Boyce, to be disposed as she and Alderman Taylor shall judge most proper to the use of her children. To Elizabeth Newgent, daughter of Captain Newgent, and sister of Mrs. Mary Yelverton, wife of Barry Yelverton, œ50 to buy mourning, and to Mary Jones, daughter of Valentine Jones, œ50 for the same purpose, and to Johana Todd, daughter of Mr. William Todd, œ50 for mourning. I make Alderman James Taylor and Mr. Hugh Wallace, merchant, of New York, executors, and I leave to each œ50 for mourning. Dated October 10, 1764.
