Grandmother's
Photo-Journal

April

April 19 - A visit with family.
 We wish Sparkleberry good health.
She was diagnosed with Henoch-Schonlein Purpura (HSP).
We pray she is soon well.

Where are your 2 front teeth?

This little sweetie drew us some wonderful pictures.

April 18 - Our Balcony
I spent yesterday scrubbing and cleaning the balcony.  I also
bought a new chair to enjoy sitting out there.  It is a
reclining chair.  Thor has tried it out and approves.

I also purchased a few new plants.  If it is springtime I must get my hands in the dirt and plant something.

If you feed them they will come.  I am hoping the humming birds will be attracted.
I put the feeder out in April every year, but don't usually see any humming birds until mid summer.

Anyway, the balcony is now a very pleasant place to eat breakfast,
lunch or supper; read a book, take a snooze, or just meditate.

My day to go clean at Papa's.

Spring Fever! On the way home I took photos of God's beautiful creation.

Field of turnip greens.

"C" and "C"
came over on Sunday and watched the boys while we preached at the hospital.
They brought lunch.  It sure was nice when we got home to have lunch already prepared!

Thor was laughing so hard even with the high speed digital camera, he was blurry.

The Boys come for the weekend!

The Leggo Wars!

E's creation.  He didn't want his picture taken.

"P" and his creation.

The view from my balcony.
We had tornado warnings in our area.
The sky was ominous looking.  See how dark it was at noon.

The view from my balcony.
My current plan is to take frequent photos of the tree outside our apartment.
When I have a years worth I will put several together to show the changing scene.
We'll see if I actually follow through on this quest.
As you can see it is just beginning to have leaves on it.

When my kids were little they received a geographic magazine in the mail.
On the back of every issue was a series of photos asking the question,
"What in the World?"
Can you identify each of the above photos.
I took these myself with the camera that Andy gave us.
I am not as good as the photographers from the geographic magazine.
But I had lots of fun.
This is mostly for the kids but I welcome the adults to guess also.

Don't turn your computer upside down. There is nothing wrong with this photo.
It was taken from the airplane window while on our return from Washington.

Happy Atheist Day!
Psalm 53:1 The fool says in his heart, "There is no God."
The guesses to the question posed on March 30th were correct.

My photos came back from the developer.
I had to stand in line 20 minutes to get a clerk so I could pay for them.  Yuck.
It must have been stand in line day.   Because I had to wait that long at the bank also.

Here are several photos I took on Wednesday March 19th. (the ones I waited in line for)
If you remember it rained and rained and rained that day.
It is the highest I have ever seen the creek behind us in 5 years.
By the time I thought to take photos the creek was already on it's way down.
But it did jump the concrete banks.

Taken from our balcony.

Looking at the bridge to our place.

Taken from the bridge to our place looking toward the apt.

Taken from the bridge to our place looking the opposite way.

You can see the volley ball net in the upper left corner.

The geese didn't seem to mind the flood at all.
