Fat Lazy Dragons

"Fairy tales do not tell children that dragons exist.
Children already know that dragons exist.
Fairy tales tell children the dragons can be killed."
-G. K. Chesterton

This fantasy goes a step further. It not only shows that the dragons can be killed. It teaches the children how to kill them.

"And the great dragon was cast out,
That Old Serpent, Called The Devil, and Satan,
which deceiveth the whole world:
he was cast out into the earth,
and his angels were cast out with him."
REVELATION 12:9

Here are the dragon stories I have been working on for about twenty years, (well, not the whole time) to help my grand children learn critical thinking skills. They are copyrighted, but you are free to print and use it as much as you like. However, if you do something with it that brings in money, I want some of it. (Good luck with that.) Some of my grand children have contributed illustrations here. I hope I get more to post. (Last update 4/11/2009)

I made some rough sketches of the land of Low Check and G'Ma is working on a better map. It is a work of progress here. (Last update 4/11/2009)

Testimonial from first person to hear the whole story:
"Fat Lazy Dragons is an adventure book that takes you to an imaginary land called Low Check full of dragons, magicians and lies. Travel with Trudy and Jay who dare to match wits with evil dragons while trying to get back home. With such wonderful characters as Lug the donkey, High the monkey, and Pass the little bird helping the children, what can go wrong? I say to anyone who thinks that this story is for children only, you are sadly mistaken. Fat Lazy Dragons is not just for children. It is for anyone who has an imagination, anyone who wants to recognize Dragon lies, and for everyone who is still a child at heart. But be careful, you might just learn how to detect dragon lies in your own world. I am truly blessed to have a husband who enjoys writing stories and reading them aloud to me. Thank you dear husband."

Sometimes I work on a "teacher's guide" because I have come to believe a teacher could use it to teach critical thinking skills. Feel free to use it, if you are teacher. This will take a while to finish. Please feel free to make suggestions.
